Welcome!
Welcome to Stat Check, the home of the Stat Check podcast, the Meta Data Dashboard, and other useful (or not so useful) tools for playing Warhammer 40,000. As mentioned on our front page, the aim of Stat Check is to provide high-quality, data-informed Warhammer 40,000 coverage and practical guidance for players across all levels. To do this we are delivering live video content, updated stats/analytics, and a variety of both long and short-form content.
The main focus of Stat Check will be the weekly podcast hosted primarily by Anthony, Innes, and Nathan. The YouTube page will also serve as the home to bonus content to Patreon subscribers, be it short form tutorials on game mechanics, rules deep dives, or a Warhammer 40,000 game show hosted by Innes! Finally there’s the website itself, which while acting as a landing page for the podcast, will also host several useful tools for the game.
The first of these tools is the Meta Data Dashboard, created by Cliff. This feature is updated weekly, and serves as a snapshot of the meta; it highlights meta representation and win rate statistics while allowing the user to dive deep into match-up specific data.
The second tool is more for fun than anything else. Jeremy has created an algorithm for evaluating player performance based on the faction they play and used this to generate a player ranking system. How to climb this ranking? Win games at events tracked within the dataset (25+ player, 5+ round events); the system functions similarly to an elo ranking system, but corrects for the faction you play at the event.
